La Luz Tallow Balm

A beautiful all-purpose tallow balm for body & face

Made from local pasture raised tallow, small farm organic calendula flowers, locally grown tulsi (holy basil), organic sonoran jojoba oil, and a hint of local raw beeswax

This balm will leave skin feeling plump, protected, and replenished – it also has a delightful consistency of buttercream frosting :)

The ingredients:

Tallow penetrates deeply and effectively because of the similarity between our skin's natural sebum and tallows essential fatty acid profile. It is a rich emollient moisturizer that makes it ideal for dry, cracked, or sensitive skin, preventing moisture loss and promoting healing

Calendula is know for it's skin healing properties as it contains flavonoids and triterpenoids that reduce inflammation (eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, etc), it promotes collagen production which makes it useful for reducing scars, soothing minor burns, and treating cuts or abrasions. Calendula helps combat oxidative stress protecting the skin from premature aging, is a natural antibacterial and anti-fungal, and helps calm redness and sensitivity 

Tulsi is wide regarded for it's skin benefits - as a rich antioxidant it helps reduce signs of aging, while it's anti-inflammatory properties help calm skin irritations (like acne, eczema, and psoriasis) which helps to reduce redness and swelling. It also has qualities known to cleanse the skin and draw out impurities, and balanced oil production by regulating sebum production

Jojoba oil is beneficial for the skin because it closely mimics the skin’s natural sebum, helping to balance moisture, soothe irritation, and provide a non-comedogenic, lightweight layer of hydration

Raw beeswax is excellent for skin because it creates a protective barrier that locks in moisture while allowing skin to breathe, and it contains natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can effectively soothe and heal
